Throughout all my life I have always been conscious of maintaining good health. From the day my friend’s mom introduced me to Calistoga mineral water at the age of 14 to the supplements and healthy lifestyle I try to maintain today at the age of 41.

Unfortunately, like most people, I thought I was doing everything right. When needed, I would take prescription and over the counters such as antibiotics, flu medicines, cough syrups, aspirins, etc. I unknowingly exposed myself to many harmful toxins. I maintained a one-sided diet extremely high in proteins (mostly animal) so that I could increase muscle and decrease fat (the so called low carb diet). I frequently made poor food choices opting for the quick and easy. What I thought was healthy food was actually full of toxins.

It all came tumbling down when I turned 34. I began experiencing extreme joint pain, lack of energy, difficulty sleeping and an unusually high frequency of colds. It was so bad that a simple task such as walking up or down stairs was always painful on my knees. I had to give up running which I had consistently done since my late teens and I found myself cutting back my time at the gym. What time I did spend trying to exercise was not as productive as it used to be. I was definitely not myself.

I did notknow why this was happening or what to do so like any regular person would do, I went to a family doctor. After five minutes in his office answering his standard cookie cutter questions, he quickly prescribed painkillers (NSAIDS) and if the pain persisted, referred me to a sports doctor. That's when things got worse. After countless x-rays (which by the way are responsible for an estimated 60 percent of all cancer deaths) and prescriptions of Vicodin, the diagnosis after my final follow-up visit was "old age", so deal with it. Old age? Are you kidding me? I was only 34. He basically said that I was at that age when you start to feel your bones creaking and things slowing down. That's when I had enough and actually took one piece of their advice, I dealt with it. How? I started looking for answers elsewhere.

It all changed when my sister recommended this book to me: "Never Be Sick Again" by Raymond Francis. I have to be honest; this book really got me depressed. It pointed out everything I had been doing wrong most of which had damaged my digestive system and weakened my immunity. The book was a bit overwhelming but extremely informative and eye opening. After reading that, I hungered for more info and came across "Restoring Your Digestive Health" by Jordan Rubin and Joseph Brasco. After reading these two books I decided to make a serious change in my life to get healthy...The right way. I knew I would not see results overnight. I was prepared to do whatever it took for however long it would take.

Now, over five years later, I’m happy to say that I am in great health. It took about four months of personal change to start seeing myself begin to feel better but I did it. By the way, I still maintain my change in lifestyle to this day. And because of that change, I am running as fast and as far as I ran when I was in my 20's, I don't experience body aches that many active and inactive people do, and I have a much higher level of energy than I did before which has helped me experience a higher level of intensity in my workouts. My overall physical well being is excellent and oh, don't let me forget, no more joint pain whatsoever.

Achieving great health should not be a mystery. Our bodies already know how to be healthy. All we have to do is provide it with the proper nutrition so that it has the necessary materials to heal disease and rebuild itself from the inside out. It is extremely important to avoid all of the foods and food ingredients that cause disease. Today, more than 95% of all chronic disease is caused by poor choice of food, toxic food ingredients, nutritional deficiencies, prescription drugs and a lack of physical exercise.

Over the years, I noticed that my friends and family were coming to me with all their health questions. Common questions were what vitamins do you take, or how do I lose these extra pounds or is this food bad for me? I'm definitely no health guru but I have been lucky enough to find people who are. So after thinking about how much people really don't know about being truly healthy, I decided to put together this site in hopes that I can help lead my friends, family and even complete strangers in the right direction.

Whether you are currently having problems with your health or would like to make a positive change so that you can avoid potential future problems, my website can help you start your educational journey. It contains informative articles, valuable resources and links to quality products that I desperately needed to help me get well and stay well. I am certain they too will help you in your quest for good health.

To you being Healthy 4 Life!
